There, she realized how much work goes into managing the core accounting functions of an optometric practice and how many doctors were missing out on key strategies for growth simply because they didn’t have time to manage their books.

I am experienced bookkeeping professional who spent more than 14 years working for an optometry practice and the owner of Bookkeeping for Optometry. I specialize in managing QuickBooks for Optometry practices, providing tailored insights into practice finances, and advising my clients on key business decisions. I am passionate about working with ODs because I know how dedicated they are to their clients and staff. My ultimate goal is to make bookkeeping easy and stress free for optometrists while also helping them to prioritize their growth.

I’m honored to serve as the COO of Bookkeeping for Optometry, where I bring over 15 years of experience in client relationships and operational excellence. I’m passionate about creating seamless collaboration, optimizing workflows for peak efficiency, and ensuring our clients feel fully supported every step of the way. Outside of work, you’ll often find me relaxing at home with my family, our dogs, and our chickens. I’m grateful to be part of this incredible team!

I’m originally from Houston, Texas (yeehaw, y’all). I’ve been a singer my whole life, going to school for opera, then spending 3 years living out of a suitcase and singing with professional choirs around the country before joining the military for more stability, if you can believe it. I grew up as the only girl in a family of 4 kids, and I’m the shortie at 5’ 10”! I love cats but don’t have one of my own, I love horses and hope to get back into riding again someday, and I love TV since it’s the only thing that can make my brain chill out most days. I am engaged to the love of my life, Adam, and he and I will be tying the knot in late May 2024 with my soon-to-be stepdaughter, 8-year-old Sonia, as the guest of honor. 💕 I got into bookkeeping to earn some extra money, but now I see a whole new career path ahead of me as it turns out it really plays into my love of organization, checklists, and puzzles.

We do not file taxes for our clients, but we do make tax season a breeze! By providing complete end-of-year financials to our clients’ tax professionals, we help ODs avoid costly clean up fees at tax time and streamline the filing process. The best part? We’ll work directly with your tax preparer, CPA, or accountant so that you never have to be the middleman.
You can be as hands-on or hands-off as you choose! Our monthly bookkeeping packages come with periodic check-in calls to go over your finances, but you can opt for a video review if that works better for you. We are always here to answer questions when you have them, whether you have time to commit to a monthly meeting or not.
After your clean up or onboarding, the only thing we ask is that you provide monthly and quarterly bank statements. Aside from that, we might ask you an occasional clarifying question, but it won’t take much effort on your part. We want to free up as much of your time as possible so that you can reach your goals!
